Recognizing the IT barriers to global business growth
Platinum Beverages (PB) leadership teams identified key organizational areas that needed to be improved to realize the company’s business growth goals. These areas were strategic human resource management, sustainable development management, and the planning and implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). Fortunately for B, the necessary improvement and implementation were exceedingly delivered by Parallel Insight Solution (PIS) since 2014. The company’s management board had made IT as an outsourced department which is handled by PIS.
Driven by the management board’s vision to find the most suitable digital solutions, PIS carefully assessed the company’s investment in hardware, software and services. We had discovered that PB required a low cost but still effective in three key areas: Collaboration, Operation Management and Business Analytics.
Cloudy infrastructure from Day 0
Thankfully, the company didn’t have to look far for the right solutions. PIS was experienced with all the cloud-based and on-premises solution, ranging from Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform to Amazon Web Services. Based on the needs of PB as well as its employee. We had delivered a comprehensive suite of solution – Microsoft Office 365, which includes the power of Office 365 such as, Exchange/Outlook, Teams, OneDrive for Business, SharePoint Online to allow employees to work and communicate seamlessly, even when mobile.
For business management, PIS had proposed the implementation of Odoo 12, an Open Source ERP solution which has been proven by thousands of companies. We have helped PB to design a detailed project plan together with human resource and technology strategy.
For business analytics, Microsoft Power BI’s data visualization tools were selected to analyze big data and discover market trends faster and more effectively.
PB also needed the right support to ensure that its IT infrastructure was working efficiently and effectively. With PIS Premier Support for direct assistance from subject matter engineers, the company could receive help for any technical issues that might arise.
The right IT solutions for business growth across the country
Within 10 days of deployment, PB was equipped with world-class cloud infrastructure by Microsoft Azure. This is not a record, but it proves that PB was perfectly fit for cloud solutions where the TCO (total cost of ownership) is significantly low. This has become a key of PB’s Financial Indicator by transferring cost from asset-based to service-based and improve significant the cashflow and investment capital.
In 2019, with the decision of implementing ERP, PIS proposed a detailed project plan together with experienced human resource and technology strategy which helps PB to implement ERP project successfully within 60 days at 4 locations: Ho Chi Minh City, Ha NoI, Da Nang & Phu Quoc. This significant innovation and transformation were led by PIS team who was experienced in SAP S/4 HANA, Microsoft Dynamic AX, Dynamic SL in supply chain and manufacturing companies.
And for business analytics, Office 365 Power BI, Microsoft’s industry-leading analytics platform, enabled PB to go beyond manually creating hundreds of reports with Microsoft Excel. The company can now visualize and publish business data on convenient dashboards that enable PB to analyze data trends faster than ever before and, the most important aspect is that PB employees don’t have to spend time in creating reports but to focus on optimizing operation and satisfy customer’s requirement.
Greater mobility and collaboration
Collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams and Yammer enabled the company to build a stronger corporate culture, improve collaboration between departments, and empower employees to work and collaborate between departments remotely.
As of today, PB have all the team country wide working and collaborating on one platform and the cost of travel is also significantly reduced.
